In the first instance we will assess your craft and motors to ensure certification is possible. If, in our opinion the craft cannot be compliant we will advise you why we beleive that to be the case, there is no charge for this preliminary service. We advise all clients to check with us before committing to buy.  

Once we are happy certification would be possible we invite you to arrange a physical inspection, as is required by the directive. Inspections can take place in the US prior to export, or if you prefer on arrival in Europe. In some cases, certification paperwork is required before the boat can be removed from port, therefore in these cases, inspection in US is generally more convenient.

During inspection the boat, systems and motors are checked and among other things a notice of non conformance is drawn up, this will be conveyed on the day of inspection and copy sent by email within 2 days. This notice will include non compliant items requiring attention. we then submit our findings to the Notified Body who in due course (7-10 days) issue certification.

The contents of our CE Certification pack include:-

Certificate of Conformity (issued by Notified Body).

Inspection Report (issued by Notified Body).

Declaration of Conformity.

Owners Manual specific to your boat (as required by the directive the manuals should be in a language accepted inthe country of use, our manuals are multilingual and therefore acceptable in all European countries).

Notice of non conformance.

CE ( Builders) Plate. Quality etched item reflecting the value of your boat.

CIN Plate, (Craft Identification Number) Etched on white laminate.

The documents and plates are sent at no extra cost.
